are the basics of the New Hampshire Marriage Laws. Both bride and
groom must appear in person at the time of application.
- Valid ID - must have current photo ID
which can be a driver's license, ID card from DMV, passport, military
id or resident alien card.
Fee - $45 cash only
Blood Test - none required
Waiting Period -
None
You may plan your ceremony for the same day the license is issued. If not, the license is only valid for 90 days.
Place of Application - You may apply for your marriage
certificate anywhere in New Hampshire if you are going to marry in
New Hampshire. You do not have to apply in the town where
your wedding will take place.
Age Requirements - applicants who have reached the age of 18 can
marry without parental consent.
If Divorced - you must present certified copies
of divore and/or death certificate for any previous marriages.
